Inspired by Apollo, Driven by Hope.

Our story begins in 2011 with a pregnant dog named Colleen. Tragically, Colleen and all but one of her puppies passed away. The sole survivor was named Apollo, and his incredible fight to live inspired our founder, Danielle Stewart, to start Apollo Support & Rescue. Apollo lived a long and beautiful life with Danielle, passing away in 2025. His incredible story has saved thousands of animals—BIG or small, we love them all!

Our Mission: To save the abused and abandoned dogs & cats of North Texas and give them a second chance at life.

Who We Are: Apollo Support & Rescue is an accredited 501c3 non-profit organization, meaning all donations are tax-deductible. We operate from a 5-acre facility in Justin, TX and rely on a network of foster homes throughout the DFW area. We rescue dogs and cats of all ages and breeds and adopt them out to loving families across North Texas.

​Our Community Impact: Our commitment to animals goes beyond rescue. We sponsor Project Homeless Apollo Street Team (PHAST), a volunteer group that feeds and vaccinates animals in Fort Worth's homeless camps. We also donate food weekly to a local church, and when we can, we help families in need with pet food and medical care.
