We found Gunner on Petfinder when we were just looking for “fun”. He came all the way here to Washington and is the best family dog, he loves everyone he meets, has the goofiest personality. Lucy and Nova were his fosters and I give them all the credit for how well-behaved he was when we got him at 12 weeks. He was potty-trained, knew to wait for his food, could sit/stay and was great in the car. We got frequent updates about Gunner on how he was doing before we got him which was amazing. Transport was super easy! Apollo communicated when they left Texas, where they were along the way, and sent video updates of all the dogs eating and getting their potty breaks during the drive AND they were on time with drop off. We love Gunner and cannot imagine our lives without him."

I found our Willie on Petfinder by chance. He is everything to our family. He has an amazing personality. He happily spends his days patrolling our 7 acre farm. Even airplanes are not allowed. Without Apollo, I would not have this unique pup that makes me laugh and feel loved everyday. I am grateful to Apollo, thank you."

Bringing home a new four-legged family member is exciting!
Here are a few important things to remember:

  • Your pet needs time to adjust to new environments, just like humans!
  • Count on your new pet marking or having accidents in the first few days. This will happen even if they are housetrained.
  • You should also be prepared for some transitional behavioral problems. Each animal will need to adjust to the rules and schedule of your home.
  • “Puppy or Kitten-Proof” your home. Don’t leave out shoes or other items they may try to chew on.
  • Don’t leave your new pet unattended in the home. When you are unable to supervise them, confine them to a crate, kitchen, or other secure area.
  • Always keep dogs on a non-retractable leash when out for walks! This will keep them from darting in front of a car or running to chase a neighbor’s cat.
