April Animal Rescue Awareness MonthMore than 6 million dogs and cats entered animal shelters in 2023, worsening a growing animal welfare crisis and resulting in a notable rise in euthanasia in shelters across the nation.
The Apollo Support & Rescue program alone houses over 100 dogs at our facility in Justin, TX, and over 300 cats and dogs in foster homes. In addition to adopting pets out around North Texas, Apollo transports hundreds of cats and dogs to the Pacific Northwest, Midwest, and East Coast every year. To raise awareness of this national crisis, we've partnered with TaxAct, Inc and Drake Software. From April 1–30, employees are encouraged to participate in Paws for a Cause by adopting and/or fostering rescues, volunteering at their local shelters, making donations, sharing social media posts, and becoming engaged Apollo Support & Rescue advocates.
